What information is shared with Peer?
Learn what cash-out and payout information Peer receives, why it is needed and what a matched buyer can see.
Zedkr Support
Last Update één maand geleden
This includes the selected payout app, payout currency, expected fiat amount and the payout identifier needed by the matched buyer to send the payment.
Zedkr does not see or store your payout username, tag, email address or phone number. These details are sent to Peer so the matched buyer can complete the fiat payment.
Why is information shared with Peer?
Peer needs the relevant order and payout information to:
- Create the cash-out order
- Record the Base USDC deposited into escrow
- Find an eligible buyer
- Tell the buyer where to send the fiat payment
- Tell the buyer which amount and currency to send
- Verify the fiat payment
- Release the escrowed USDC after verification
- Update the order status
- Return order information to the Zedkr Cash interface
Without the required payout information, the buyer would not know where to send the fiat payment.
What order information does Peer receive?
- Deposit ID
- Public wallet and blockchain transaction information
- USDC deposited into escrow
- Selected payout app
- Selected payout currency
- Expected fiat amount
- Payout username, tag, email address or phone number
- Order status
- Order date
- Settlement information
The information is used to match the order with a buyer and complete the settlement process.
What payout information is shared?
Chime
Peer receives your ChimeSign, including the $ symbol.
Example: $andrew
Monzo
Peer receives your Monzo.me username.
Example: your-monzo-me-name
Revolut
Peer receives your Revtag.
Example: andrew1abc
Zelle
Peer receives the email address or US phone number enrolled with Zelle.
Enter the requested information exactly as it appears in your payout app.
What information does the matched buyer receive?
This may include:
- Payout app
- Payout username, tag, email address or phone number
- Fiat amount
- Fiat currency
- Payment instructions associated with the order
The buyer does not need your payout account password, wallet recovery credentials, private keys or email verification codes.
Never provide these details to a buyer or anyone claiming to assist with the payment.
Does the buyer receive my wallet credentials?
Do not share:
- Wallet recovery credentials
- Private keys
- Passwords
- Email verification codes
- Authentication codes
- Wallet-signing information
The buyer only needs the payout information supplied through Peer to send the correct fiat payment.
Does Peer receive my private keys?
Your Para wallet authorizes the blockchain transaction before Base USDC enters Peer’s non-custodial escrow.
Neither Zedkr Support, Peer nor a matched buyer should ask you to provide private wallet credentials.
Does Peer receive my public wallet address?
The escrow deposit and related blockchain activity may include public information such as:
- Public wallet address
- Transaction hash
- Token transfer
- Deposit amount
- Smart-contract interaction
- Transaction status
- Date and time
A public wallet address does not give Peer, the buyer or another person permission to move funds from your wallet.
Are my payout details recorded onchain?
Public blockchain activity may show wallet addresses, token transfers and smart-contract interactions, but it does not display the payout account identifier you entered for Chime, Monzo, Revolut or Zelle.
Payout information is handled separately through Peer’s order and settlement process.
Does Zedkr receive my payout details first?
The information is sent to Peer so the matched buyer can complete the payment.
Zedkr can display the selected payout app, currency, amount and order status without storing your specific payout identifier.
Does Zedkr store information received from Peer?
When you open the History tab, the relevant cash-out information is retrieved from Peer and displayed in Zedkr Cash.
This information may include:
- Expected or completed fiat payout
- Payout app
- Payout currency
- Current status
- Date
- Deposit ID
- USDC deposited
Zedkr provides the interface used to view the information but does not maintain a separate stored copy of your cash-out history.
Is identity verification information shared with Peer?
Your selected payout app may have its own account verification or eligibility requirements. Those requirements are controlled by Chime, Monzo, Revolut or Zelle.
Never send identification documents to a buyer or through an unofficial support channel.
Can I cash out without providing payout information?
If you do not want to provide the requested payout information, do not continue with the cash-out.
You are not required to accept a quote or complete Slide to confirm.
Can I change the payout information after confirming?
If you notice an error:
- Open the History tab.
- Select the affected cash-out.
- Check whether cancellation is available.
- Select Cancel or Cancel & withdraw USDC if the option appears.
- Open chat support and send us a message if the order cannot be canceled.
Cancellation is temporarily unavailable while the order displays Buyer matched — awaiting fiat because a buyer payment is in progress.
A settled order cannot be canceled.
What happens if the payout information is incorrect?
- Delay the cash-out
- Prevent payment verification
- Direct the payment to the wrong account
- Keep the order open
- Require assistance from Zedkr Support and Peer
Always review the payout app, identifier and currency before completing Slide to confirm.
Blockchain and payment transactions may not be reversible.
What if the buyer sends the wrong amount or currency?
If the buyer sends the wrong amount or currency, the cash-out may remain open while the issue is reviewed or until the correct payment is verified.
Do not assume the order is complete unless:
- The order displays Settled.
- The correct amount appears in your payout account.
- The payment was received in the correct currency.
Open chat support and send us a message if the payment is incorrect, missing or delayed.
What information can I give Zedkr Support?
This may include:
- Deposit ID
- Public Para wallet address
- Current order status
- Payout app
- Payout username, tag, email address or phone number
- Expected fiat amount
- Expected currency
- Amount and currency received, if any
- Relevant transaction information
- A screenshot with unrelated personal information redacted
Zedkr Support can use the information you provide to locate the order and coordinate with Peer.
What information should I never share?
- Payout account password
- Wallet recovery credentials
- Private keys
- Email verification codes
- Authentication codes
- Complete payment card numbers
- Unrelated banking information
Zedkr Support, Peer and the matched buyer do not need this information to complete or investigate a cash-out.
How is the fiat payment completed?
- The status changes to Buyer matched — awaiting fiat.
- Peer provides the buyer with the required payment information.
- The buyer sends the correct fiat amount and currency to your payout account.
- Peer verifies the payment.
- Peer releases the escrowed USDC to the buyer.
- The order changes to Settled.
The fiat payment is sent directly from the matched buyer to your payout account. Zedkr never receives, holds or forwards the fiat payment.
Where can I get help with a privacy concern?
Include:
- Deposit ID, when relevant
- Public Para wallet address, when relevant
- Description of the concern
- The page or feature involved
- A screenshot with sensitive information redacted, if helpful
Never send your password, wallet recovery credentials, private keys or email verification codes. Zedkr Support will never ask for them.
